The 2009 Pennsylvania State Data Center Data User Conference theme was New Data, New Opportunities. This year's conference was success! Thank you for attending, and many thanks to our dedicated conference planning committee, speakers, and Data Center, staff, without whom the conference would have been impossible!
The 2009 Data User Conference was held on September 10, 2009.
This year's conference focused on the new resources that are available to data users, and the ways that communities can put those new developments to use. With new challenges come new opportunities, especially to use data to drive responsible decision. The conference highlighted exciting ways that new data sources and methods are changing the way we look at our world.
From the newest updates on the 2010 Decennial Census records to the Commonwealth's use of demographic data, the 2009 Data User Conference included sessions, speakers and topics of interest to any data user. Roundtable discussions focused on newly-released data products, and plans for future demographic programs. Data users enjoyed a variety of presentations on using data resources of all types, as well as the ways that community leaders are putting demographic data to use right now.
